A workshop focusing on presentation skills, slide presentations and corporate positioning for biotech executives is offered through the Business Forum. The Executive Workshop faculty is drawn from professionals who collectively have decades of life-science industry experience and are specialists in advising senior executives in corporate positioning, technical presentations, and speaker training.

The workshop is geared toward helping industry executives and entrepreneurs with the basic positioning and presentation skills needed to attract capital and partnerships, and covers such topics as:

  • looking at your company from a partner’s or investor’s perspective and formulating a strong and believable positioning statement and elevator pitch;
  • fitting your company into a 10-15 minute presentation that leads your audience to ask the right questions;
  • learning tricks to get in the door of venture capitalists.

The workshop offers on-site interaction with venture capitalists and leading business development executives, providing insight into their thought processes. Additionally, there will be opportunities to practice presentations under the direction of professional trainers.

A schedule showing the exact time of the workshops as well as a complete description of its content will be available at the Business Forum and will be posted online in mid-April. Registration for the workshop will be available both online and onsite at the Business Forum. The size of the workshop is capped to assure an optimum student-faculty ratio. Advance registration is strongly urged.
